Thank you + Decisions

It’s been over a year since I started my blog Typesetters… I’ve learned a lot, read a lot, and typed a lot. So far, I’ve enjoyed the journey massively. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to give it the attention it deserves, for my followers and for the authors.

When I started this blog, the intention was (and is) to help authors take off in their careers (and stories), read more, and be creative. None of that has changed except my 9-5 has been extremely demanding and strenuous. As you know, I haven’t been posting much… That’s because of work and I’ve recently purchased and moved in into my first home!

Because so much has changed, my goals and aspirations have changed as well. I’ve decided to take a step back and reevaluate what makes me happy. I’ve been in the same career for over 6 years and when I first started my career, I thought that it made me happy, I had a sense of pride in what I did, I still do. But in those 6 years, I’ve grown tired. Waking up at 3am to get to work by 5, working 60 to 80 hours a week, and driving / being stuck in traffic on the daily takes a toll. Call it burn out or what you want… All I know is that that’s not how I want the rest of my life to go.

I want to focus more on my blog and I want to work anywhere that I want, plus put in the hours I want. I want to help people be known, feel appreciated, and cared for. So I’ve decided to open up my own Etsy shop along with some trinkets you can purchase right off my blog. I don’t say this to push you to buy anything, I say this to bring awareness that I’m serious about support the Writing Community because I see a future in you all. This is to support my hobby and business, this is to support my passion (which is obsessively reading).

I want to thank all of my followers on WP and Twitter for supporting me in this past year. I want to say thank you to all the authors that have given me the opportunity to provide you with a review. I may not know all of you personally but know I have your best interest in mind, I want you to succeed along with me. So thank you and the best is yet to come!

Love,

Bianca with Typesetters
